The Chicago Bulls beat writer for the Chicago Tribute expresses his appreciation for Ben Gordon's time in the Windy City.

Gordon helped lead the Huskies to a national championship in 2004, winning Final Four and Big East Tournament Most Outstanding Player in his final season as a Husky. A few months later he was picked 3rd overall in the NBA Draft by the Bulls.

Gordon is currently not on an NBA roster. He was waived by the Warriors in the 2015 preseason after a one-year stint with the Orlando Magic.

Thomas Lucas Departing UConn Football Program

Thomas Lucas, who began the season as a starting wide receiver, will be leaving the UConn Football program. He informed head coach Bob Diaco of his decision after the St. Petersburg Bowl.

Lucas, who had a solid run after switching from defensive back, is the second receiver to transfer out of UConn this year. With four, or maybe even five, freshmen who the staff currently likes a lot, Lucas is looking elsewhere for more playing time. Fair enough.

Lucas had nothing but nice things to say about his UConn teammates and coaches, believing that "they'll do great for the next couple of years," per the article linked above by Matt Zampini of the Daily Campus.
