UConn men’s soccer had two players selected in the 2024 MLS SuperDraft. Sophomore goalkeeper Jayden Hibbert was chosen 19th overall by Atlanta United, marking himself as the 16th first round pick in UConn’s program history. This past season the sophomore became the Huskies’ starting goalie playing in a total of 14 games where he made a total of 41 saves. Hibbert became the first Husky to be taken in the first round since midfielder Dayonn Harris went No. 20 overall in the 2020 Superdraft
Sophomore forward Eli Conway joined Hibbert as SuperDraft selection. The forward was selected in the third round by CF Montreal with the 68th overall pick. This past season Conway saw playing time in all 18 matches playing as a starting forward in 14. He recorded three goals and three assists on the season and scored the overtime winning goal for the Huskies’ to advance to the Big East Semifinal for the first time since 2012.
The Huskies will look to take their talents to the next level and help their respective teams win the coveted MLS Cup.
