From Cedar Hill, Texas, Brown is the Huskies’ fifth three-star recruit in the class of 2022 according to Rivals. He vaults UConn up to 48th in the Rivals recruiting rankings for the class of 2022, with the caveat that many of the teams around them have signed fewer players.
UConn now has 13 commits for the class of 2022, after wrapping up June with 12. Brown is the third wideout of the class and the second player from Texas. The seven highest-rated players in the class so far according to Rivals are from either Texas or Florida.
Brown has good size for a wide receiver at 6-3, 180 pounds, and held offers from Kansas, Colorado State, Buffalo, and New Mexico. The rising high school senior is rated as the No. 89 recruit in the Dallas-Fort Worth area by the Dallas Morning News and took an official visit to Storrs during the week of June 18.
With five months left before the early signing period, UConn will look to fill out their 2022 class with around ten more players. The Huskies will kick off their 2021 season on August, 28 against Fresno State.
