UConn football has scheduled a home-and-home series with Florida Atlantic University for the 2024 and 2026 seasons. The Huskies will host the Owls on Sep. 21, 2024 before making a trip to Boca Raton, Florida on Nov. 21, 2026.
The two schools have faced off just once: A 61-14 beatdown by UConn at Memorial Stadium on Nov. 2, 2002.
The Huskies have now secured seven opponents for the 2024 season, five of which are at home. In terms of their 2026 slate, they’ve already scheduled games with six opponents with all but two of them on the road.
In March, UConn announced a home-and-home series with Ole Miss. The Rebels will come to East Hartford on Sep. 11, 2027 while the Huskies will travel down south to Oxford, Mississippi on Nov. 28, 2028.
UConn became a football independent in 2020 after the school returned to the Big East in all other sports. The 2021 campaign will be the Huskies’ first as an independent after the school canceled the 2020 season due to COVID-19 concerns. The season opener is slated for Aug. 28 at Fresno State.
