Sanogo scored 14 points and added three rebounds in the Huskies’ quarterfinal win over DePaul and helped UConn get out to a hot start in the semifinals against Creighton, scoring eight of the team’s first 13 points. Sanogo finished the night with 13 points and five rebounds in the loss to the Bluejays despite playing just 21 minutes due to foul trouble.
As UConn prepares for its first NCAA tournament appearance since 2016, Sanogo is playing his best basketball of the season. He’s scored double figures in each of his last four games and is now averaging 7.5 points and 4.8 rebounds on offense while being a dominant rebounder and rim protector on the other end.
