UConn men’s hockey will hit the road for two games against two different opponents this week, Hockey East announced on Tuesday. The Huskies will play at No. 14 Northeastern on Friday, Feb. 5 at 5:00 p.m. before a trip to face No. 20 UMass Lowell on Tuesday, Feb. 9 at 5:00 p.m. Friday’s game will air on SportsLive while Tuesday’s will be broadcast on NESN.

Hockey East is scheduling games week-by-week through the end of the regular season.

UConn was previously set to play a home-and-home series against Northeastern (6-3-2) in January before a false positive test forced UConn to temporarily pause all team activities. The Huskies have already played one game against UMass Lowell (3-3-0), a tightly-contested 2-1 victory for the River Hawks back on Dec. 21.

After sweeping Merrimack by a combined score of 12-3 this past weekend, UConn’s record improved to 7-6-2 on the year. The Huskies received 26 votes in the USCHO Poll, putting them four spots out of the top 20.
