UConn men’s hockey will play the No. 11 BU Terriers in a home-and-home series this weekend per a press release from Hockey East. The Huskies will travel to Boston for a Friday afternoon matchup before returning home on Saturday. Both games are set to start at 4:00 p.m. with Saturday’s matchup slated to air on CW20.
BU is currently second in the Hockey East Power Index, which determines the league’s standings this season. UConn is fourth despite its 4-0 loss to Providence last Friday. The Huskies’ Saturday matchup with the Friars was canceled due to “COVID-19 protocols”, according to Hockey East.
The Terriers, who didn’t begin their season until Jan. 8 due to COVID issues, are 8-2-0. Their only regulation loss came in their first game to Providence and, since then, they have dropped points in just one other game — a 4-3 overtime loss to BC.
