UConn football has scheduled a home-and-home series with USF for the 2023 and 2028 seasons, according to FBSchedules.com.

The Huskies will host their former American Athletic Conference rivals at Rentschler Field in East Hartford on October 1, 2023, then make the return trip to Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida on September 1, 2028.

UConn and USF have played each other a total of 17 times since 2000, including 15 times as members of the same conference, first as members of the Big East and then most recently as part of the American Athletic Conference. USF holds the advantage in the all-time series at 12 games to 5, including eight-straight wins from 2012 to 2018.

The Huskies’ latest win over the Bulls came in 2011, when Paul Pasqualoni led UConn to a 16-10 victory at Rentschler Field, his first-ever conference win at the helm. Another notable victory came in 2007, when the UConn defense held firm at the goal line in the final seconds of competition to defeat USF, who was ranked No. 10 in the nation at that time.

UConn’s 2023 schedule now includes home games against Duke, FIU, NC State, Utah State, USF and Sacred Heart, with trips to Georgia State, Boston College. Liberty and Tennessee. Their 2028 schedule comprises games against Wake Forest, Buffalo and San Jose State and at USF, Temple, Army and Ole Miss.
