It’s official! UConn joins the Big East conference

It’s been a long seven years in the doldrums of the American Athletic Conference, but the Huskies are finally joining the Big East. Rivalries with Villanova, Georgetown and Providence are back on. More legendary moments to come at the Big East Tournament in Madison Square Garden. And best of all, there’s no more road games against Tulsa.

Here at the blog, we’ve put out a ton of great content to help fans get back up to speed with the Big East. We released a podcast discussing the news as well as some other relevant topics in the UConn sports world. We also chronicled how UConn ended up joining the Big East on July 1, 2020 in the first place.

For the past few weeks, we’ve broken down what the men’s soccer, women’s soccer, baseball, softball and women’s basketball teams are getting into with the new conference.
