Football coaches are back on the recruiting trail, virtually, and UConn has landed its first commitment for the 2021 class in tight end Justin Cayenne.

Cayenne stands 6-foot-3, 225 lbs, and played both tight end and defensive end in high school at The Bolles School, but was recruited to the Huskies to play offense.
The Jacksonville, Florida native had offers from Army, Air Force, Marshall, Bowling Green and various FCS schools, including multiple Ivies. Cayenne boasts a 4.5 GPA in high school and plans on majoring in chemistry when he gets to campus.
UConn still has quite a ways to go on the recruiting trail for the class of 2021, with over 20 spots left to be filled, and plenty of uncertainty, in the sports world and around the program, before we get there.
