While UConn is still in the midst of a 14-day quarantine, the Big East conference released the men’s basketball schedule for the remainder of the season. Assuming everything stays on track, the Huskies will finish out their pre-holiday slate with games against Creighton (Dec. 20) and DePaul (Dec. 23) before a week-long break.
The newly announced games have UConn playing 15 contests between Dec. 30 and the Big East Tournament, scheduled for March 10-13 at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The conference has added in two weeks in February that are currently lighter than usual, but will be used to make up games as the season comes to an end.
As of now, the three Big East games that were postponed due a positive COVID-19 test within UConn — a home game against St. John’s and road games against Georgetown and Providence — haven’t been scheduled, but the conference is planning to announce make up games at a later date. If these games do get made up, it would likely be within one or both of the league’s February makeup weeks.
The 15 new games are as follows, with all times currently TBA. UConn’s full 2020-21 schedule can be found here.
