Welcome back to Chasing Perfection! We’re recording once a week now in the lead-up to the season — which is now less than a month away.
To start, we catch up on the Huskies’ schedule, both in the Big East and out of conference, and explain why early season results should be taken with a grain of salt. We also react to the news that fans won’t be allowed into Gampel Pavilion this season and discuss what we want to see from TV broadcasts as a result. We’d also be remiss if we didn’t mention Sue Bird’s engagement to Megan Rapinoe.
We also have our first guest on the show: Meghan (Pattyson) Culmo. She talks about how she ended up at UConn, the impact of the Huskies’ first Final Four team in 1991, her time coaching on Geno Auriemma’s staff, her move into broadcasting and much more.
Culmo also shared some incredible stories from her 30+ years around the program, including one that, after hearing it, will make sure you never look at squirrels in the road the same.
