On this week’s episode of Chasing Perfection, we finally have some team news to talk about. We recap UConn’s recent availability where Geno Auriemma revealed new info about UConn’s schedule. We then get into Christyn Williams’ evaluation of the freshmen and why we’re more excited than before to see Paige Bueckers and Aaliyah Edwards.
After that, we jump into ESPN’s way-too-early rankings which have the Huskies at No. 4 and debate whether that’s fair. Then, we talk about the most overrated and underrated teams entering this season and then rank the major programs into tiers.
Finally, we wrap with the WNBA playoffs. We try to figure out what apocalyptic scenario 2020 would need to throw at us to prevent the Seattle Storm from winning the WNBA title, how the Minnesota Lynx are set up well for the future and why the Phoenix Mercury deserved to lose in the first round. We close by playing a game about which players we’d want to build a WNBA team around.
