The calendar has flipped to September, folks, and that means college soccer and football are in full swing. The UConn Huskies opened football season with a 24-21 win that was better than our worst expectations but fell short of the full-on beatdown we were hoping for against a middling FCS squad. In this week’s pod, we discuss the positives and negatives of the Huskies’ opening performance and preview the Illinois game.
Men’s and women’s soccer are also in action, and we have our first update of the season on Ray Reid and Margaret Rodriguez’s teams at this early point of the season.
Enjoy!
