So, Saturday wasn’t very fun for UConn football fans. But we’re all about optimism here, so let’s look to the future. 2020 defensive end Carter Hooper committed to the Huskies on Saturday night, bringing some serious size on the edge next year.

Hooper was courted by Brown and UMass, and is a composite 3-star at 247 Sports. The 6-foot-5, 234 poud product out of IMG Academy is UConn’s second defensive end in its 2020 recruiting class and the Huskies’s second recruit in the last week. That’s 10 recruits so far for 2020, for those keeping score at home.
You can check out his highlight package here.
Cooper will join a UConn defensive line that has accounted for 4.5 sacks this year, with 3.5 coming from sophomore Lwal Uguak (good for third in the AAC).
