UConn football head coach Randy Edsall once again lit up the #BlockC sign on Twitter last night after running back Nathan Carter committed to the Huskies.
Hailing from Rochester, NY, Carter checks in at 5-foot-10 and 190 pounds. His other offers included Albany, Army, Bryant, CCSU, Cornell, Fordham, Holy Cross, Lafayette, Maine, New Hampshire, Sacred Heart and Wagner.
Here’s a quick highlight of his pass-catching ability out of the backfield, where his after-the-catch speed also flashed.
This catch today from @_natecarter5 of @kearney_fb was wild wild. Tipped right before it reached his hands. He grabs it mid-air and under his knees. Able to secure it w| only 3 fingers. Some kind of finger grip. And, managed some YAC following all of it. ● @overtime pic.twitter.com/O8jFs1JW4V

This is UConn’s first running back recruit of 2020, and will look to compete for reps next year with Dante Black and Kevin Mensah.
The Huskies head to Bloomington take on the Indiana Hoosiers on Sept. 21 at noon.
