After returning from the All-Star break as the only rookie to be named an All-Star, Napheesa Collier was named the WNBA Rookie of the Month for July. She is the first Minnesota Lynx player to be named Rookie of the Month since Maya Moore in 2011.
Collier excelled defensively for the Lynx, ranking first among all rookies in steals (1.8) and blocks (1.0) per game for the month of July. She also ranked second among all rookies in points (9.8) and rebounds (7.5) per game. Collier also added 2.3 assists per game and shot 40 percent from the floor.

WNBA All-Star Weekend Recap
In addition to being named Rookie of the Month, Collier played on the winning team (Team Wilson) in the All-Star game, scoring four points and adding two rebounds in the game.
On Team Delle Donne, Kia Nurse had an outstanding game as a starter in her first All-Star appearance. Nurse scored 15 points, including three buckets from beyond the arc. Her New York Liberty teammate Tina Charles also added four points and five rebounds.
Breanna Stewart Makes Her Broadcasting Debut
The reigning WNBA MVP made her broadcasting debut on Thursday night. Breanna Stewart, who is sitting out the season with an achilles injury, was on the call for the Las Vegas Aces vs. Los Angeles Sparks game. In a rare match up in the league which included no UConn alumna on the court, Stewart was one of two former UConn greats on the broadcast team, alongside Rebecca Lobo.
