Former UConn Huskies great Diana Taurasi returned to action as she made her 2019 WNBA season debut for the Phoenix Mercury. Unfortunately for Taurasi and the Mercury, things didn’t go as planned as they fell to the Connecticut Sun, 79-64.

Taurasi missed all four of her field goal attempts but was 5-for-6 from the free throw line while grabbing three rebounds and dishing out four assists. The Sun’s lone Husky, Morgan Tuck, had two points, two rebounds and a blocked shot.
