Of the 12 teams in the WNBA, there are nine teams that will have at least one alumna of the UConn Huskies women’s basketball program. The three without are the Indiana Fever, Los Angeles Sparks and Washington Mystics.
When training camp opens, there will be 19 of the 20 former Huskies in the WNBA in camp. One, Maya Moore of the Minnesota Lynx, is sitting out the 2019 season while two of them, Saniya Chong and Kelly Faris, are in on training camp contracts with the Las Vegas Aces and New York Liberty, respectively.
Each team will have three uniforms this season; The Icon Edition (primary color), Statement Edition (secondary color) and Breast Health Awareness Edition.
