With the fourth pick in the WNBA Draft, the Chicago Sky selected UConn wing Katie Lou Samuelson.
Samuelson will join up with former teammate Gabby Williams and former Husky Stefanie Dolson on the Sky. Last season, Chicago finished 10th in the WNBA with a 13-21 record. Samuelson is the second former UConn player to be drafted by the Sky.
Both players are certainly excited about Samuelson joining the team.

Samuelson came to UConn as strictly a sharpshooter from three before developing a strong all-around game. Over her four seasons, her rebound and assist numbers rose every year. At 6-foot-3, she presents a matchup problem on the outside as someone too big for guards to defend but too quick for bigs. At the very least, Samuelson will give the Sky a 3-point threat early in her career while she adjusts to the pro level.
Overall, Samuelson is the 37th UConn player selected in the WNBA Draft and the 24th first-round pick. She will also join her sister, Karlie Samuelson of the Los Angeles Sparks, in the league.
