The American Athletic Conference announced their All-Conference and All-Freshman Teams on Monday afternoon with just one member of the UConn men’s basketball team being honored as senior Jalen Adams was named to the All-AAC Third Team.
Adams, who went down with a MCL sprain on February 6 versus Temple, returned to UConn’s lineup on Sunday and spurred the team to their first road win in over a year against ECU.
In 11 conference games, Adams led the team in scoring with 17.2 points and assists with 3.7 per game. He averaged 90% from the charity stripe in those 11 conference games.
Overall, Adams played and started in 24 games, leading the team in scoring with 16.9 points and averaged 3.3 assists while grabbing 3.7 rebounds.
UConn and Adams return to the hardwood on Thursday afternoon at 1 p.m. in the American Athletic Conference Men’s Basketball Tournament where they’ll take on the USF Bulls. The winner will take on the top seed, Houston Cougars on Friday at noon.
