UConn Football Releases 2019 Schedule

The Huskies appear to have an easier schedule than last season.

On Thursday, UConn football released their full 2019 schedule. The Huskies have an even split of six games at home and six on the road.

UConn opens the season on Thursday, Aug. 29 against Wagner at Pratt & Whitney Stadium. After the opener, all but one game is on a Saturday with the lone exception being Navy at home on Nov. 1.

The Huskies open their first two games at home against Wagner and Illinois before they break for their first bye of the season. They return to action with a pair of games on the road against Indiana and UCF, the latter of which is the conference opener. UConn returns home against USF before heading to New Orleans to face Tulane.

On Oct. 19, the Huskies will try to keep their perfect home record against Houston intact when the Cougars come to East Hartford. The next week, UConn plays their final non-conference game of the season against UMass.

While the game against the Minutemen was initially scheduled for Gillette Stadium when the series was announced, that game will likely be played in Amherst instead.

The triple-option comes to Rentschler Field on Nov. 1 when Navy rolls in. After that, UConn heads out to face the up-swing Cincinnati Bearcats on Nov. 8 before heading into their second bye week.

The Huskies will close out their home slate against ECU on Nov. 23 before ending the regular season in Philadelphia against Temple on Nov. 30.
