UConn football’s 2020 football schedule is set. The Huskies added North Carolina, Middle Tennessee and Old Dominion, rounding out the 12-game slate after the school previously announced nine opponents. Game times and television information are also expected to be released in the coming weeks, according to the release.
UConn will host Old Dominion on Oct. 3 as well as Middle Tennessee on Nov. 21 and will go to Chapel Hill, North Carolina to face the Tar Heels on Nov. 7.
The school announced the dates for the Virginia and Maine games as well. The Huskies will head to Charlottesville on Sep. 19 to face the Hoos and will meet the Black Bears at home on Oct. 10.
Overall, the schedule is well-balanced with seven home games and five away days which are spread throughout the year. UConn doesn’t play at home for more than three games in a row and doesn’t hit the road for more than back-to-back games either.
It also features a strong mix of opponents as well. The Huskies will play five teams from Power Five conferences but also have plenty of winnable games against the likes of UMass, Old Dominion, Maine and San Jose State, to name a few. There’s also a handful of schools UConn has either never faced or rarely seen, giving fans a fresh opponent to watch.
