UConn women’s basketball announced a new home-and-home series with Arkansas-Little Rock beginning at UConn in 2020-21. The next year, the Huskies will make the return trip for freshman Christyn Williams’ homecoming game her senior season, who is a native of Little Rock.
The Trojans have dominated the Sun Belt Conference recently, winning the last two titles. Last season, they reached the NCAA Tournament with a 23-10 record. UConn and Little Rock have never met on the court.
In 2020-21, the Huskies non-conference opponents are Tennessee, Baylor, Virginia, Oklahoma and Cal on the road, with home games against Dayton and Little Rock. In 2021-22, trips to Oregon and Little Rock are the only games scheduled so far.
UConn will also need to find a road game in 2021-2022 for fellow freshman Olivia Nelson-Ododa, who hails from Winder, Georgia, about an hour outside of Atlanta.
