In the midst of her best season as a professional, former UConn star Tiffany Hayes has signed a multi-year extension to remain with the Atlanta Dream. The exact length of the extension has not been disclosed by the team as per their policy.
After making the All-Star game last season, Hayes has been even better in 2018, averaging a career-high 17.8 points per game and shooting 47 percent from the field. Hayes is also averaging 1.19 points per possession has a true shooting percentage of 59.5 percent, both of which rank in the top 20 in the league.
The six-year veteran has also won Eastern Conference Player of the Week three times this season and was named AP Player of the Week once. Her strong performance this season has helped the Dream to first place in the Eastern Conference with a 19-10 record.
