The first time the Las Vegas Aces and Moriah Jefferson came to Mohegan Sun Arena at the start of the WNBA season to play the Connecticut Sun, she was unable to play due to a knee injury she was recovering from.

But after rehabbing her knee, the former UConn Huskies women’s basketball four-time national champion returned to the court on July 1st for the Aces. Since stepping back onto the hardwood, Jefferson is averaging 4.6 points per game and 2.4 assists per game in 15.1 minutes.

Before Sunday’s game with the Sun, Jefferson talked about the difference in the Aces now, her return to the court and Christyn William’s comments about the UConn women winning the national championship next season.
