Before she was helping the Seattle Storm to yet another playoff berth, UConn’s Sue Bird made her mark on what has become one of the best rivalries in collegiate sports with a historic buzzer-beater over Notre Dame at Gampel Pavilion.

With the 2001 Big East Tournament knotted up at 76 with just seconds left to play, Bird took the ball the length of the floor and drilled a floater in the lane to lead the Huskies to victory.
