Jonquel Jones led all scorers with 21 points to help the Sun to a gritty 92-77 win over the Liberty.
Former UConn Huskies star Tina Charles had 12 points, six rebounds and three blocked shots while Bria Hartley had three points, four rebounds and five assists off the bench. Kia Nurse added four points and three rebounds with Kiah Stokes picking up two rebounds in four minutes for the Liberty.
The lone former Husky on the Sun, Morgan Tuck, had five points in almost 13 minutes of action.
