With the Seattle Storm in town this past Friday night to play the Connecticut Sun at Mohegan Sun Arena, it gave the fans a chance to see three former UConn Huskies women’s basketball players, including Breanna Stewart.
Stewart, who is quickly becoming one of the best players in the WNBA, didn’t have her typical night stats wise but still did other great things. Before the game, she was one of the several WNBA players who made Caroline Hartley’s 12th birthday probably her best one ever (for now).
And after the game, she gave Hartley a signed pair of KD 11’s and then before she took photos with the 54 friends and family members who were on hand to watch her, she participated in a 20 minute or so Q&A with her Storm teammate, Sue Bird, and her UConn teammate, Morgan Tuck.
Also before the game, Stewart talked about playing for her new coach in Dan Hughes, the pay inequality in the WNBA, the format of the All-Star game and talked about incoming UConn freshman Christyn William’s comments about winning the national championship next season.
