WATCH: New York Liberty Head Coach Katie Smith on Kia Nurse

The Women’s Basketball Hall of Famer talks about her Canadian rookie from UConn, Kia Nurse.

Former UConn Huskies two-time national champion Kia Nurse was in town with the New York Liberty on Wednesday to take on the Connecticut Sun. Before the game, we caught up with Liberty head coach Katie Smith to talk about her rookie guard.

Smith talks about how Nurse has transitioned to the WNBA, how playing at UConn makes the transition to the pros much easier and Nurse’s defensive presence.
