On Wednesday, Hockey East released the men’s all-conference teams as voted on by the conference’s 11 head coaches and UConn had three players honored.

Junior forward Maxim Letunov (12-16—28) was named to the second team and was a big part of the Huskies’ success this season. He led the team in points, assists, plus/minus and was one of three players, along with Alexander Payusov and Max Kalter, to score multiple game-winning goals.

He was also tied for the team lead in goals with Payusov and Spencer Naas and was tied for eighth in Hockey East in points (9-11—20) and goals. In addition to his second team honor, Letunov was named as the runner-up for the Len Ceglarski Individual Sportsmanship Award behind defenseman Jacob Bryson of Providence.

UConn also had a pair of honorable mentions in senior defenseman Johnny Austin and Naas. Austin (3-11—14) was seventh in defenseman scoring in the conference and was ninth in power play points (2-7—9).

Naas (12-12—24) scored a point in his final eight regular season games and was second on the Huskies in points. He was knotted at 18th in the conference in points (11-7—18) and tied for fourth in goals.

As a team, UConn was the runner-up for the Charlie Holt Team Sportsmanship Award.
