After verbally committing to UConn Tuesday night, Christian Haynes made his commitment official Wednesday after signing his National Letter of Intent.
Haynes, a 6-foot-4, 285-pound offensive lineman, is listed as a 2-star prospect according to Rivals. He received offers from 13 schools, with FBS offers from Virginia, Buffalo, Air Force, Navy and FIU amongst others as well as an offer from FCS powerhouse James Madison.
This past season, Haynes was named to the Washington Post’s All-Met Second Team.
UConn was the only school that Haynes visited, with the Bowie, Maryland native making his visit on Jan. 18. Haynes’ is the Huskies’ second recruit out of Maryland in the Class of 2018, joining defensive back Ryan Carroll.
