UConn Hockey & Basketball Game-Watch Meet-Ups in January

We’ve got two more events coming up.

After having such a great turnout and fun times on December 2nd at The Press to watch the UConn women beat Notre Dame, The UConn Blog is excited to share dates for our next two game-watch events: January 12th and January 31st.

Both will be Husky athletics doubleheaders!

Saturday, January 12 - World of Beer, West Hartford, CT (Free - Register Here)

UConn Men’s Hockey @ Merrimack - 7 p.m.

UConn Men’s Basketball @ Cincinnati - 8 p.m.

The IceBus will be in action against Merrimack while Dan Hurley’s squad will be in the spaghetti-on-chili city looking for a big win in conference play. World of Beer has reserved a space for us and will also be able to stream the hockey game on its TVs, so come over and watch two UConn games at once with The UConn Blog crew and a bunch of other Husky fans at this great spot!

Thursday, January 31 - The Tavern Downtown, Hartford, CT (Free - Register Here)

UConn Women’s Basketball @ Louisville - 7 p.m.

UConn Men’s Basketball @ Central Florida - 9 p.m.

Geno and the Huskies will have their final test of the regular season against top-5 Louisville on the road. Louisville was in the Final Four last year and has racked up four Elite Eights and eight Sweet 16s in the past 10 years. We’ll be at the Tavern Downtown to catch the action and then stick around for a big men’s basketball conference game against the hated rivals at UCF. #conFLiCT

On this night, we’ll also debut Part II of our documentary series on the Conflict. You can watch Part 1 here!

Both of these events are free to attend, we just ask that you register so we can give the bars a rough sense of headcount and so you can win prizes!

We’ll also have Titletown and Conflict t-shirts and other merch available for less than the online price, so come on down!

On the 31st, there is also going to be a UConn Alumni career event in Hartford, should you be interested in making it a full-on UConn kind of night. Other UConn Alumni Association events can be found here. In case you aren’t in CT, there are plenty game-watches across the country!
