UConn women’s basketball plays one of the toughest non-conference schedules on an annual basis and now they have a new opponent to face: The Oregon Ducks. The Huskies announced a home-and-home series with Oregon beginning in the 2019-20 season at UConn with the return trip coming in 2021-22 after a one-year gap.

The first meeting will be Oregon superstar Sabrina Ionescu’s senior season. With head coach Kelly Graves, the Ducks have become one of the top programs in the country, reaching the Elite Eight each of the last two seasons and finishing this past year ranked No. 5 in the USA Today Coaches Poll.

The two schools have met three times, with UConn claiming all three victories. They last played in the Elite Eight of the 2017 NCAA Tournament, with the Huskies coming away with an easy 90-52 victory.

UConn played on Oregon’s home court last year but faced the Michigan State Spartans instead as part of the PK80 tournament.
