Here is how UConn Football‘s upcoming opponents fared this past weekend.
Tulsa (1-7) - Nov. 3
It’s been 378 days since Tulsa last beat an FBS opponent and Tulane made the Golden Hurricane wait longer with a 24-17 victory. The hosts were up 17-10 but the Green Wave scored 17 unanswered points. Tulsa only gained 315 yards, 180 of which were on passes from Seth Boomer, who was 12-of-26 passing with a touchdown. Boomer also ran for 33 yards while Keylon Stokes rushed for the Golden Hurricane’s other touchdown.
SMU (3-5) - Nov. 10
The Mustangs went back and forth with Cincinnati all afternoon, with the Bearcats forcing overtime on a 41-yard field goal as time expired. However, James Wiggins intercepted Ben Hicks for an 86-yard touchdown return to serve SMU a 26-20 loss. Hicks was strong otherwise, completing 22-of-43 passes for 328 yards and two touchdowns, though the Mustangs only gained 23 yards on the ground. The hosts hung in the game, despite being out-gained by over 100 yards and registering only 13 first downs.

The Pirates have the weekend off and will be hosting Memphis in their next game on November 3.
Temple (5-3) - Nov. 24
