Due to Hurricane Irma bearing down on Florida, UConn football’s game against the USF Bulls has been moved up to 10:30 am. This is a change from the originally schedule kickoff time of 12 pm. The game will still be broadcast on ESPNews
While the hurricane will not affect the State of Connecticut, USF needs to be able to return to Tampa before the storm hits. Otherwise, the team will be stranded elsewhere for an unknown period of time.
There are no changes to any pregame activities, as everything is simply moved up an hour and a half. Gates open at 6 am for season ticket holders and 6:30 am for everybody else.
Although tailgate plans may be disrupted, it’s important to remember those issues pale in comparison to what those in the path of the hurricane will be dealing with in coming weeks.
