Just a day before the UConn Huskies kick off their season, they picked up a victory on the recruiting trail as defensive lineman Jonathan Pace gave his verbal commitment.

A native of Needham, MA, Pace plays all over the line for St. Sebastian Country Day. Listed at 6-foot-5, 265 pounds Inside the Huddle says he has “a good motor allowing him to push through defenders to make plays.”
His only other FBS offer came from Army, although he had a handful of local FCS offers as well. He is the 16th member of the Huskies’ class of 2018 and the eighth defensive player. Pace joins wide receiver Elijah Jeffreys as the second Boston-area player to commit to UConn this year.
