Former UConn Huskies women’s basketball All-American Tina Charles had 24 points and seven rebounds to lead the New York Liberty past the Connecticut Sun, 82-70.
Another former Husky, Bria Hartley, had 11 points and three rebounds for the Liberty while Kiah Stokes had one point and seven rebounds.
The Sun’s UConn link of Morgan Tuck had four points. Despite 4-of-16 shooting, Jasmine Thomas led the Sun with 15 points.
