The 6-foot-2, 170-pound Lazarus is rated as a 2-star prospect by Rivals and a 3-star prospect by 247sports. He hails from Brooklyn, New York and attends Erasmus Hall Campus, where he plays both cornerback and safety.
Lazarus held offers from Rutgers, Purdue, Buffalo and Kent State before ultimately deciding on UConn.
The Huskies have had a busy week on the recruiting trail, as Lazarus is the fourth commitment of the week. He joins fellow defensive back Ryan Carroll, linebacker Francis Bemiy Jr. and offensive lineman Travis Jones.
