Standing at 6-foot-1, 175 pounds, Carroll brings good size to the secondary for the Huskies. A native of Oxon Hill, Maryland, Carroll had FBS offers from Temple, Eastern Michigan, and Ohio.
At Potomac High School, Carroll mostly played cornerback but also saw time at safety, giving added versatility to the defensive backfield.
With Carroll’s commitment, UConn’s class of 2018 now includes 10 players, six of which are defenders. He is the second defensive back so far, joining Malik Banks.
