Listed at 6-foot-4, 220 pounds, Bemiy brings a unique combination of size and athleticism to the linebacker position. While he’s a two-way player at Riverside Christian High School, he will likely play outside linebacker for the Huskies. He held offers from New Mexico and Florida Atlantic but also had interest from UCLA, USC, and Wyoming.
Although he attends high school in California, Bemiy is originally from Montreal. He first became interested in UConn in order to get closer to his family, according to an interview on Scout.
Bemiy is the ninth player and the fourth linebacker committed to the Huskies in the class of 2018.
