The UConn Pod: Men’s Basketball Puts Up Help Wanted Sign

Kevin Ollie’s tenure is in a precarious spot with numerous roster openings to fill heading into the offseason recruiting periods.

After a tumultuous week for UConn Men’s Basketball, Thomas Fritsch and I sat down to discuss the departures and defections as well as who’s going to be in play in 2017 recruiting and the transfer market.

Steve Enoch, Vance Jackson, and Juwan Durham are transferring and prized 2017 recruit Makai Ashton-Langford has been released from his LOI. UConn added junior college big man Eric Cobb and still has forwards Tyler Polley and Josh Carlton coming in but there are still five openings on the roster.

While Kevin Ollie and his staff, along with new associate head coach Raphael Chillious, have their work cut out for them this offseason, there is even more change afoot. We end the podcast with a discussion about Wichita State joining the AAC and what that means for UConn and the conference.

Enjoy!
