VIDEO: UConn Women’s Basketball NCAA Tournament Pregame - Elite Eight

Watch Geno and the players discuss their upcoming Elite 8 matchup.

Ian Bethune

After a solid win over UCLA in the Sweet 16, UConn Women’s Basketball advances to its 12th consecutive Elite Eight, where the Huskies will meet 10-seeded Oregon.

UCLA reportedly hung in there with the Huskies, though UConn held a double-digit lead for most of the game and won by 15. Still, it was a deviation from the norm, where the lead continues to grow until Geno gets to pull the starters and empty the bench.

The Ducks have made an incredible run through the tournament field, upsetting No. 7 Temple and No. 2 Duke at Cameron Indoor Stadium, and No. 3 Maryland in Bridgeport. They’ll be meeting top-seeded UConn at Webster Bank Arena Monday at 7 p.m. for the right to advance to the Final Four.

Hear what Geno and the starters have to say about the matchup.
