As one of the more recent players to join the UConn Huskies football’s class of 2018, Jeremy Lucien made his commitment official today as he signed his National Letter of Intent.
Lucien is a local product, hailing from Wallingford, CT where he played at Choate Rosemary Hall. He was a two-way player in high school but will play defensive back for the Huskies.
Lucien is rated as a two-star prospect by Rivals and held offers from FCS schools Columbia and Davidson. As a student, Lucien will join the honors college at UConn and will major in mechanical engineering.
The Huskies’ secondary issues were well-documented last season and adding players such as the 6-foot-2, 180 pound Lucien should go a long way to boosting that position in the near future.
