Six days after announcing his verbal commitment to the UConn Huskies, defensive end Lwal Uguak has made things official after signing his national letter of intent on Wednesday morning.
Ugauk is from Edmonton, Alberta and though he was under-recruited coming from outside of the US, also held an offer from Fresno State. He’ll be the fifth Canadian player on the UConn roster, joining Hergy Mayala, Michael Tarbutt, Sheridan Lawley, and Philippe Okounam. Standing 6-foot-4, 245 pounds, he’ll need to add some weight to contend in the trenches for UConn’s 3-3-5.
