When UConn Huskies head coach Randy Edsall hired Billy Crocker away from Villanova to bring his 3-3-5 defense to Storrs, it was thought that the defense would improve drastically.
Unfortunately as we’ve seen, the defense so far this season has been horrendous.
In Friday night’s loss to the Memphis Tigers, UConn gave up 70 points and 711 total yards. The 70 points were the most points given up a by a Huskies football team in their 121 year history.
After the game, Edsall was asked if he remained confident in the defensive scheme. His answer in the video below speaks for itself.
