UConn Huskies head coach Randy Edsall has released his depth chart for Saturday’s game against the South Florida Bulls and there once again some minor changes.
With Jamar Summers being suspended for three quarters this Saturday after his taunting penalty versus Mizzou, Tre Bell will start with Summers backing him up. The other change in the secondary is that Tahj Herring-Wilson has returned from his injury. He will back up Jordan Swann instead of Kyle Williams.
With Nate Hopkins out with a bad shoulder and likely to miss the game according to Edsall, Kevin Mensah is the lone starter and will be backed up by Jason Thompson. In case of injury to either two, walk-on and Glastonbury native Donevin O’Reilly, who just became eligible last Friday, would take over the duties at running back.
With his performance against Missouri, Tyraiq Beals has regained his starting spot over Keyion Dixon who will back him up.
And there’s one minor change on the offensive line as Nino Leone and Kyle Schafenacker have switched backup spots at guard. Leone is now backing up Cam DeGeorge while Schafenacker is now backing up Trey Rutherford.
