The UConn men’s soccer team won in both their matches this week, getting 1-0 victories against both Providence and Tulsa, helping to build a three-game winning streak ahead of Monday night’s match against No. 3 Maryland. As a result, UConn players are all over the American Athletic Conference weekly honors.

Redshirt senior goalkeeper Scott Levene won goalkeeper of the week honors for the third time this season, including last week. Levene and the Huskies defense have not allowed a goal in 293 minutes, with Levene making nine saves in UConn’s two games last week.

Center back Jacob Hauser-Ramsey has been a big part of the 293-minute streak and was named to the weekly five-member honor roll for his efforts on the back end.

Midfielder NIko Petridis was also named to the honor roll for his game-winning goal on his 19th birthday against Tulsa on Friday night. It was his second goal of the season.

UConn men’s soccer plays on Monday against No. 3 Maryland at home and Saturday they resume conference play on the road against Cincinnati.
