The women fell from 17 while the men’s team stayed in the mix outside the top 25.

Men’s soccer was at the top of the received votes category last week, but after a 1-0 loss to Georgetown on Saturday which gave the Hoyas their first win, UConn received fewer votes and moved to 18th out of 20 on the list of teams receiving votes.

Tuesday’s opponent, Notre Dame, will spend its second week atop the coaches’ poll, taking home 21 out of 24 first-place votes for a No. 1 ranking. The Huskies will also play No. 15 Boston College at Morrone Stadium on October 18.

On the women’s side, the Huskies dropped six spots from No. 17 to No. 23. The drop comes on the heels of a shutout loss at No. 1 Florida State on Thursday, 3-0. They rebounded in dominant fashion on Sunday over Stony Brook, which helped them stay in the rankings.

UConn has just one game this week, as they travel to upstate New York to face Colgate in its penultimate non-conference game. The Raiders are 2-2-3 to this point through the season.

There are no other teams in the American Athletic Conference, men or women, receiving votes in the polls.
