Nick Ahmed [Arizona Diamondbacks]:

  • Week: Ahmed had a hot week; he went 6-12 on the week. His slash line was .500/.538/.500. Ahmed swiped a base, as well. He went 2-3 on Wednesday, scoring two runs.
  • Season: In 78 games, Ahmed has a slash line of .230/.275/.324. He has four home runs and 19 RBI, to go along with 25 runs scored.

John Andreoli [Iowa Cubs - AAA (Chicago Cubs)]:

  • Week: Andreoli had a 6-25 week, slashing .240/.387/.400. He went 2-4 with a double and a walk on Tuesday. He added five walks on the week and was 2-4 on stolen base attempts.
  • Season: Andreoli has hit .236/.362/.430 in 80 games. He has 18-26 in stolen base attempts. He has 11 home runs, 37 RBI and 56 runs scored. He's added 10 doubles and six triples.

Matt Barnes [Boston Red Sox]:

  • Week: On Tuesday, Barnes threw a perfect inning, striking out one while registering a hold. On Friday, he added another perfect inning, also striking out one.
  • Season: In 38.1 innings pitched, Matt Barnes has made 30 appearances, all in relief. He has a 3.05 ERA, a 1.33 WHIP and 38 strikeouts against 18 walks.

Carson Cross [State College Spikes - A-Short Season (St. Louis Cardinals)]:

  • Week: On Tuesday, Cross made a start. In 5.0 innings, he allowed three runs, two of which were earned. He allowed eight hits to go along with six strikeouts and one walk.
  • Season: Cross has pitched 16.2 innings in three starts. Batters have hit .329 against him and he has a WHIP of 1.56 and an ERA of 4.86. He has 12 strikeouts against three walks and has hit one batter.

LJ Mazzilli [Binghamton Mets - AA (New York Mets)]:

  • Week: Mazzilli had a 10-26 week, coming a home run short of the weekly cycle. He slashed .385/.414/.615, adding eight runs and eight RBI. He had four multi-hit games, as well.
  • Season: In 69 games, Mazzilli has hit .267/.344/.363 with nine doubles, four triples and 31 RBI. He has worked 30 walks and has scored 33 runs.

Max McDowell [Wisconsin Timber Rattlers - A (Milwaukee Brewers)]:

  • Week: McDowell slashed .308/.438/.385 in a 4-13 week. He scored five runs and only struck out twice on the week. He went 2-3 with a double and two runs on Thursday.
  • Season: In 56 games, McDowell has hit .294/.368/.363. He has nine RBI and 12 doubles, with 12 stolen bases. He has been caught stealing once. He was named a Midwest League All-Star starter.

Bobby Melley [Princeton Rays - Rookie (Tampa Bay Rays)]:

  • Week: Melley built on his first few games as a pro, getting a hit in nine of his first 10 professional games. He went 11-29 on the week, slashing .378/.438/.690. He had three multi-hit games, adding two doubles and his first two professional home runs.
  • Season: Melley made his debut on June 23 after signing a minor league deal with the Tampa Bay Rays on June 21. He has slashed .366/.435/.634, hitting two home runs to go along with 10 RBI and 10 runs.

Greg Nappo [New Orleans Zephyers - AAA (Miami Marlins)]:

  • Week: Nappo made on appearance, throwing 3.0 innings, allowing two runs, one of which was earned. He allowed five hits while striking out three and walking two.
  • Season: In 15 appearances, he has pitched 35.1 innings. He has a WHIP of 1.75 to go along with 21 strikeouts. He has an ERA of 5.60.

Scott Oberg [Albuquerque Isotopes - AAA (Colorado Rockies)]:

  • Week: In two appearances, he pitched 2.0 innings, allowing an earned run on two hits. He struck out three and walked another.
  • Season: In two stints with Albuquerque and two with Colorado, he has pitched in 26 games, nine for Colorado and 19 for Albuquerque. In AAA, he is 5/6 on save opportunities. He has pitched a combined 35.0 innings, allowing 29 hits, walking 13 and striking out 35.

Tyler Olander [Bluefield Blue Jays - Rookie (Toronto Blue Jays)]:

  • Week: Olander has yet to make an appearance.
  • Season: He was assigned to Bluefield on June 24.

Mike Olt [San Antonio Missions - AA (San Diego Padres)]:

  • Week: Olt is still on the 7-day disabled list and is eligible to be activated at any time.
  • Season: In 49 games between AAA and AA, Olt hit .253/.369/.398. He has 25 RBI while scoring 25 runs, working 31 walks. He has five home runs on the season.

Patrick Ruotolo [AZL Giants - Rookie (San Francisco Giants)]:

  • Week: Ruotolo made two appearances, pitching 2.0 perfect innings, adding four strikeouts.
  • Season: Ruotolo made his professional debut on June 22 after signing his minor league contract with the San Francisco Giants on June 17. He has pitched 4.0 innings, allowing three hits and an unearned run. He has struck out six and has not walked anyone.

Vinny Siena [St. Lucie Mets - A+ (New York Mets)]:

  • Week: Siena went 5-16 in his first full week at the A+ level, slashing .313/.421/.313. He scored three runs and added three RBI on the week. He had two multi-hit games.
  • Season: Siena has played in 73 games between A and A+, hitting .282/.425/.377. He has 56 runs, four triples and 16 RBI to go along with 16 doubles and 57 walks. He has stolen nine bases, only being caught once. He was named a South Atlantic League All-Star starter.

George Springer [Houston Astros]:

  • Week: Springer went 4-18 on the week, but was still able to reach base, slashing .222/.417/.389. He had six walks, scoring five runs while driving in two more.
  • Season: In 81 games, Springer is hitting .259/.357/.460 with 17 home runs and 48 RBI. He has scored 58 runs, hitting 11 doubles to go along with two triples.

Jack Sundberg [GCL Nationals - Rookie (Washington Nationals)]:

  • Week: Sundberg went 5-21 in his first full week as a professional and he slashed .238/.385/.476. He was 2/2 on stolen base opportunities, scoring six runs while adding a triple and his first professional home run on Saturday.
  • Season: Sundberg made his professional debut on June 24 after signing a minor league contract with the Washington Nationals on June 20. He has slashed .259/.394/.444 and his 3-4 on stolen base attempts.

Women's Basketball

Sue Bird [Seattle Storm]:

  • Week: In a 1-1 week, averaged 12 points, 3 rebounds and 5 assists.
  • Season: In 16 games, is averaging 13.5 points, 3.1 rebounds and 5.5 assists.

Swin Cash [New York Liberty]:

  • Week: In a 2-1 week, scored a total of eight points and had five rebounds.
  • Season: In 14 games, is averaging 5.9 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.2 assists.

Tina Charles [New York Liberty]:

  • Week: Played in two of the three games for the Liberty and scored a total of 57 points with 18 rebounds and six assists.
  • Season: In 16 games, is averaging 22.8 points, 9.9 rebounds and 4.3 assists.

Stefanie Dolson [Washington Mystics]:

  • Week: In a 2-1 week, scored a total of 15 points with 20 rebounds and four blocks.
  • Season: In 18 games, is averaging 8.3 points and 5.1 rebounds.

Kelly Faris [Connecticut Sun]:

  • Week: In a 1-2 week, Faris didn't score in the two games she played and had one rebound.
  • Season: In 16 games, is averaging 2.5 points and 1.2 rebounds.

Bria Hartley [Washington Mystics]:

  • Week: In three games, scored a total of 13 points with 8 rebounds and 7 assists.
  • Season: In 18 games, is averaging 7.1 points, 2.2 rebounds and 2.4 assists.

Tiffany Hayes [Atlanta Dream]:

  • Week: Missed one of the two Dream games (both losses) with a leg injury. Did score 32 points with 2 rebounds and three steals against LA Sparks on Thursday.
  • Season: In 15 games, is averaging 15.4 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.2 assists.

Moriah Jefferson [San Antonio Stars]:

  • Week: In a 1-2 week, scored a total of 45 points with 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals. Scored a career-high 31 points on Friday night including the game-winning basket.
  • Season: In 17 games, is averaging 10.8 points, 1.8 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 1.5 steals per game.

Renee Montgomery [Minnesota Lynx]:

  • Week: In a 1-2 week, scored a total of 34 points with five rebounds and nine assists.
  • Season: In 17 games, is averaging 8.6 points, 3.2 assists and 1.5 steals.

Maya Moore [Minnesota Lynx]:

  • Week: Did not play in a club friendly
  • Season: He's made six appearances, three starts and has not scored.

Julius James [Ft. Lauderdale Strikers - NASL]:

  • Week: Did not register a shot in 2-1 win over Orlando City in US Open Cup nor in fall opening tie vs Miami.
  • Season: In six games, he has one shot.

Josh Ford [San Antonio FC - USL]:

  • Week: In action tonight vs Tulsa Roughnecks.
